late night 4/10 update from Chris, Kaitlyn, and Liz....

"Chris Smith here again. Today we went to the Giant's Causeway and that crazy rope-bridge. Amazing scenery.

Sorry we have lights out, and not enough time to send you the pics. Don't worry we have TONS of the most beautiful landscapes many of us have ever seen. Let the viewers know we will have a special 'sneak-peek' video clip of the "Not White Bread Quartet/Quintet" singing tomorrow.

I have Kaitlyn Davis and Liz Sageman's combined update (we'll probably have a couple people do an update each day)

The Update - 4/10/07

"Today on the second day, out of America, we had an exciting day. We mostly tried not to fall off the cliffs into the sea. After breakfast we learned about Celtic spirituality which was very interesting. Terry Hogg told us the mindset of an Irish Christian as opposed to the more traditional mindset. With others being very hierarchical and cut and dry, Celtic Christianity is much more mysterious and informal. His presentation was very different from what we were used to (in a good way). Much of what he said was about Ireland's mystery, and God's role in that. I would try to tell you more about what he said, but much of it was hard to explain. Yet, most of us did not get a lot of sleep the previous night, (I wonder why? Maybe because we're actually in IRELAND!!!!) meaning we somewhat dosed off. Of course it was an accident.

Then as a whole group we made our Celtic cross signifying our lives and what was important to each and everyone of us. We took a day trip to Giant's Causeway which was spectacular. Danielle and Jess ended up saving a woman's life (she slipped and fell on the rocks and had a big gash) isn't that what GLOT '07 is all about. They say the giant's Causeway was built from Ireland to Scotland. The Irish giant was giving the Scottish giant a chance to come over and attack yet when he got to Ireland he became a 'scaredy-cat'. So he ran back to Scotland breaking up all the rocks. Most of us believe that it's true but if you don't~ SHHH! We like believing that!!! The next place we went was to this crazy rope bridge. The girls were very excited because the Australian Rugby World Cup team was there visiting the bridge, too. They were all very handsome and even the parents took notice. Example~ One parent made a comment,"When we get half way across the bridge we will act like damsels in distress and need some strapping rugby players to come and rescue us." And not to be outdone, our own strapping, handsome young men were ready to challenge them to a rugby match after a short pickup game. The rope bridge was straight chillin' right above the ocean and rocks. The last we did was participate in Irish dancing, which proved that we cannot dance and could never be Irish!!!"

~Peace out from another continent~"

Hey Ann, have been spreading the word about the Agape Singers in a rather unconventional way. Came to work this morning and there were no patients in the building, so I did an overhead announcement about the blogsite and offered that I would buy lunch for anyone who couldn't identify who my sister was in these pictures. My money is SO safe!!!! lol. (We didn't start out like this, how and when did it happen?)

So as I walk around the building about 30 computers are scanning the site and oohing and ahhing. Too bad we don't have audio too.

Could you make Erik step in front of a camera?

We are all enjoying the story of your trip. How awesome! The scenery is wonderful. I think the Eckfeld's will have to go see it in person one of these days. Tell Carol the music is all filed!

Hi to the Sageman girls! Dad and the boys are doing fine, and having some fun. You are missing some nice snowy, rainy weather here in Roch. Hills.

Hope you caught up on your sleep, and the phones are working now.

We miss you, and have a good time, it is almost half over already!

Love Bob, Collin and Nick

Your wish is our command...Erik will be documented. He has a zillion pictures on his own camera, but he hasn't been close when we are uploading. Thanks for the publicity!

-Mr. Sageman

We will tell the Sageman girls of your comment. They are doing fine!

-Mr. Eckfield

Thanks sooooo much for your support! The support of the Chancel Choir means a lot to us!

-Mrs. Buzinski
