Agape Singers - God's Love On Tour - Ireland 2007

The Agape Singers is the high school choir of University Presbyterian Church - Rochester Hills, Michigan. "Agape" is a Greek word used in the New Testament to signify the love that Jesus taught. Agape was chosen as its name as the word reflects our mission: The Agape Singers are loving, caring people, united with a purpose to glorify God through song, inform all God's people about God's love, spread the word of God through song, and inspire love, hope and passion for faith in God.

Visiting "Giant's Causeway" in North Antrim on Tuesday

And here's some commentary from 4/10 from Andrew Baker as they visited the rope bridge and the Giant's Causeway:

"This morning we just made our own Celtic Cross. For mine, I used sharpies. Each color represents us just like a family so I just wanted some MEANING behind it.
This afternoon we went to visit Giant's Causeway, Carry-A-Rede Rope bridge.

So in the words of the Old Irish Blessing: "May God hold you in the palm of his hand". Wow!"

The Agape Singers are planning a peacemaking choir mission tour to Ireland, April 8-16. Our stops will include the Corrymeela Centre at Ballycastle. Located on the northern Antrim coast, Corrymeela is "an ecumenical community of Christians committed to a shared future, peace and reconciliation; a community that welcomes people of all faiths and none, and from all backgrounds, traditions and cultures." During our time at Corrymeela, the Agape Singers will rehearse, participate in a day-long orientation and peacemaking workshop, sing our first concert in Ireland, as well as make day trips to Belfast and the Giants' Causeway. There will also be time for soccer, exploring the lovely town of Ballycastle, and enjoying the seaside air and scenery. For more information on Corrymeela, visit their website at www.corrymeela.org. Other stops along the way will be: Belfast, Dublin, Cookstown, the Book of Kells at Trinity University, among many other activities.
